Trump orders federal agencies to replace "AI" with "Super Intelligence" in official use
Trump signed an executive order on September 29, 2026, directing federal agencies to use "Super Intelligence" and "SI" in official correspondence, public communications, websites, reports, policy documents, and other non-statutory materials. Agencies are also instructed to stop using "artificial intelligence" and "AI" in those settings. The order followed a White House summit with leading technology executives and comes with a voluntary agreement signed by top AI executives. It applies only to the extent current law allows.
